National Coordination Center

In accordance with Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of March, 5th 2004, No.237 “On Implementation of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants”, the Ministry of Nature Recourses and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus was designated as the National Coordinating Center.

ON IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROVISIONS OF THE STOCKHOLM CONVENTION ON PERSISTENT ORGANIC POLLUTANTS

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of December, 26th, 2003 #594 “On accedence to the Stockholm Convention on persistent organic pollutants” the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus
RESOLVES:

  1. Define the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection as:
    the National Coordinating Center, which ensures informational exchange in accordance with the provisions of the Stockholm Convention on persistent organic pollutants ratified in Stockholm on May, 22nd 2001;
  2. the state agency responsible for the implementation of the obligations of the Republic of Belarus under the Stockholm Convention on persistent organic pollutants.
  3. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection is to form the Coordinating Committee on implementation of the Stockholm Convention on persistent organic pollutants in three-month term.
  4. The present resolution is enacted since the day of its official publication.
